Dear All,

You all will be pleased to know that Pathshala is going to celebrate its 9th anniversary this year. It started its journey on the 18^th of December in 1998. Accordingly, we were supposed to celebrate its anniversary on the 18^th but we have decided to observe it sometime in January 2008 in order to make it more memorable, effective and enjoyable. The celebration date will be announced very shortly.

The organizing committee has decided to go for a good print publication this time which will also enable us to use as a promotional tool of the institute in the coming days. In order to make a good publication, we are inviting *writings* (either in Bangla or English) from our advisors, teachers, guest lecturers, staffs, current and ex-students, basic and foundation students, muktochakh members, friends and well wishers based on Pathshala within the 31^st of December 2007.

We are extremely sorry for giving you such short time for sending your writings for our publication on the occasion of its 9^th Anniversary.

An International Workshop

ANNOUNCEMENT

A good news. An international workshop will be held at Oslo University College from the 3rd - 7th of March 2008. About 42 students from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Pathshala will be participating in this workshop. Six students from Pathshala will
be selected for this programme.

All 2nd and 3rd year students of Pathshala are requested to submit your Portfolio in PRINT version latest by Thursday, the 15th of November 2007 at 3.00pm. No portfolio will be received after 3.00pm.

Please submit your portfolio to Pathshala office within the deadline.

Dr. Christopher Tribble is coming to Dhaka and there will be a round table discussion on Documentary Photography training at pathshala on 25 oct. 2007 (5:30pm-9:00pm).The session is divided in two sections:a) A lecture/presentation by Dr. Christopher Tribble and open discussion.b) Presentation by pathshala students (Documentary by Graduation Students) and critic/evaluation/discussion by Dr. Christopher Tribble and others present.This program is mainly for Advanced Diploma & Graduation students of Pathshala but teachers and other students are also invited. it is requested to be aware of the accommodation problem of Pathshala and to forgive us in case of failure to accommodate all interested to join.
